Choices; a term used for various alternatives that is to be taken for future implication sake.

Life is not a choice. Though, life is about taking choices.

Sometimes you don't realize that you have choices. Sometimes, you take a less popular choice one might not have not considered as the best choice to have ever been taken.

Sometimes, when you have the choice to live extravagantly expensive and highly classed in the center of social twirls, you choose to live ordinarily in a, still busy, but in a more humble state, city, with no excessive plans of expenses. Choosing chicken soup to daily fettuccine. Choosing wood bangles to Swarovski pendants. Like, taking a bicycle ride when you have a driver waiting to escort you by a Benz.

Sometimes, when you have the choice to take courses on abroad institutions, you choose to go for local lectures. Studying how to be society's servant rather than a penny rocketry. Learning, maybe, not to earn, but to give. Eternally.

Sometimes, when you have the choice to be a social butterfly, you choose to mean what is that you learn a good depth. When you have the choice of hanging out at Bucks sipping off some black dips, you choose to race home seeking literatures that might get to your papers.

While I might always have been taking less prevailed choices, this one, a fool won't deny:

It's funny how life has its own unique plots, setting up for a simple quest and evoking a chain reaction of another simple sequences with a quaking final show that is, for some certain figures, leg breaking.

As if you're drinking a normal tempered chocolate milk during a so-so weather, and you find some surprise pieces of marshmallow. Simple, but sweet.

It was a plenary session when all the latest year estudiante of this privileged institution, in which to develop regionally best scholars, scientists, and society figure of intellectual sages, were invited and for the first time, present their appraisals of avowed topic, human embryonic stem cells research controversy. Two groups with best reports, not including mine, were set to conduct a presentation and discussion follows. During the discussion session, I asked a question. As simple as that. And as lucky as I am, among other amazing questions by other greater people, mine was chosen as the best one. It’s me and boasting again if I speak about what I felt when the president of the program shook my hand, plus how she gave me an imposingly pretty boisterous compliment I had to ask for a serious help keeping my feet on the ground.

As simple as that, few weeks later I received a phone call from one of the professor in the very same institution of mine, why, none other than Prof. Dr. Nancy Margarita Rehatta, dr., SpAn KIC herself, the very same president of the program I have mentioned.

I was simply invited to the plenary session of International class along the rest six colleagues, Olivia and Alan for the best presentation, and Nova, Daniel, Septian for the 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th best question accordingly.

We simply attended and followed the session thoroughly, asking several proper questions to the presenting groups as supposed, this time with one chance for each and the topic addition of IVF and cryopreservation. As simple as that, I asked some simple questions again.

Prof. Puruhito, dr., Sp. B. was one of the most famous doctors in this hierarchy of medical school, university, and integrated hospital. Being one of the past number one figures of the university as the rector, even meeting him in person never crossed my mind, supposing how rigid his bodies of schedules are. He happened to attend the exact plenary session, giving a salute and humble comment after presentations and a short, enchanting, bright, enthusing lecture about stem cell and its contributions toward heart surgery, which I must say, was the very best lecture I’ve ever had in my whole life.

As simple as that, the plenary session ends. As simple as that, we all walked out of the room, me, with my head still on the clouds proposing what could be done with the stem cells development for the mankind benefits and all the ramblings about each slides presented by Prof. Puruhito in each of my cerebral lobes.

As simple as that, while coming out of the class with the rest of the session attendants, I caught the sight of Prof. Puruhito, and as simple as that, he pointed at me and simply said…

“You… You’re good!”

As if one simple question could lead you to a humble spotlight of a great professor and made him said that you were good. Simple, but happens to make such a day.

In vitro fertilization: A further outlook

Technology, in this context, in medicine, has the very promising leap in human development. Nowadays, the constantly improving medical biotechnology offers, not only curative medication in order to preserve life as it used to function as, anymore, but also life itself.

One of them, nonetheless, is the in vitro fertilization technology. IVF has been successfully inducted since 1978, making possible to a British fallopian tube blockage sufferer, Lesley, to give a healthy daughter, Louise, to her husband, John Brown. This therapy then become commonplace afterwards, and had given hope of numerous disabled couples to have heirs.

IVF makes it possible for woman with absent fallopian tubes or tubal disease that cannot be treated successfully by surgery or endometriosis that has not responded to surgical or medical treatment, male with shortage or challenges on sperms, genetic diseases that result in miscarriage or abnormal births, advance maternal age, or other unexplained infertility that has not responded to other treatments to undergo pregnancy and give birth to a healthy child or even children, as IVF itself, for example per December 2008, increases the ongoing pregnancy rate for couples by about 15% (M. Brandes et al., 2010).

IVF is done by, first, stimulating egg production with fertility medicines. Then, follicular aspiration, a minor surgery, was performed in order to take out the egg from inside the woman’s follicle. Next, insemination is performed, which is the mixing of best quality eggs with the man’s sperm, which then is stored and supervised within a conditioned chamber in order to preserve the embryogenesis. Lastly, is the transfer of embryo, when the embryos that have developed are inserted into the woman’s womb, which is conducted around 3-5 days after insemination. If the embryo is correctly implanted on the uterus, then a pregnancy will result. This success is by the chance range of 13% until 43% (S. Storck, 2010).

In general, studies on the follow ups of children developed from IVF show mild disparities than normal fertilizations. Neuromotor, cognitive, language and behavioral studies on IVF children with the age range of infancy, preschool and school ages provides negative effects of assisted conception on the neurodevelopmental section of growth, supporting no additional likelihood of suffering for retardation or any mental disorders compared to the natural born children (Middelburg et al., 2008). Another study also provides the deliberate similarity between the IVF children with the natural born in the psychomotor development (M. Bonduelle et al., 2003), although it also provides that IVF children are behind natural born in growth and postnatal health. This might be a reflection towards the neonatal period problems (S. Koivurova et al., 2003), this also supports that there is a significant tendency that IVF babies are prone to be born in premature conditions with low natal weight.

However, as alluded before, IVF has several risks to wisely be considered before the undergo. Besides the lower growth rate and postnatal health, the perinatal outcome and the developmental studies state that there has been an increase in associated complications (F. Olivennes et al., 2002). In twin IVF birth, consequently more risk is attained than that of a normal born twin in slight scale and IVF singleton, significantly (A. Pinborg, 2005). IVF is also prone to bacterial and viral contamination, which can occur within the embryo culture procedure or in unidentified egg donors which might have been contaminated by HIV or other viral diseases (S. R. Steyaert et al., 2000).

To the mother, IVF respectively brings several side effects like bloating, abdominal pain, mood swings, headaches, bruises and other effects undergoing the earlier procedure of egg stimulating medications. In atypical cases, it also may cause ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). This evokes a fluid hoard in the abdomen and chest. Symptoms include rapid weight gain (10 pounds within 3-5 days), decreased urination despite drinking plenty of fluids, nausea, vomiting, and shortness of breath. There is also a risk of egg retrieval, where ovary could be injured. From the psychological perspective, woman who is about to undergo IVF normally has a whether slight or severe depression of infertility; childlessness fright and so on. In the ongoing therapy, woman must have a strong support to help the adjustment of eventually failure of the treatment which actually occurs more often than not (C. M. Verhaak et al., 2007).

Overall, IVF needs a full combination of physical, emotional, time and financial commitment. The treatment requires a thorough follow up after the birth of the child and on to be prepared whenever post clinical effect would occur to the child. This mean a big fund should be allocated both for the treatment itself and the follow up. As an example, in the US, IVF could cost with the range of $12.000 until $17.000, or even more. This varies within the clinic in which patients plan to undergo IVF.

Thankfully I am accepted in SBM ITB, FK Unibraw (didn't apply for FK Unej since Unibraw is a little bit in higher quality), and FK Unair :) decided to take FK Unair :)

2. Be an obedient prayer and an ultimate believer in Islam. And be of course a better lover of Allah.

3. Finish school succesfully (this one only counts on final exam and university entry test marks, I know I've been a horrible student after all this time).

Oh my Gawd, I tell you one thing, above all those people you need to trust (mostly about your date) you've gotta trust your parents more. And by that means you gotta trust them even more than how you trust your sweetie, no matter how much they seem so beautiful and precious and blah blah. And I MEAN it, you get me?
Okay, I'm about to share my experience. My mom didn't like this guy I fell for and had a relationship with. First I thought because she preferred me to be with my previous ex. But I didn't care; life seems so heavenly when you were in love people, but watch out, you're not supposed to be living in heaven yet. Hang on still, later on, I found out that not only my mom who was in a silent dislike of my relationship (okay, maybe not silent, but I really did never listen, which is like my biggest mistake ever) but also my grandma. I did have a lot of, ugh, sorta arguments with them. Not only did I try my best to cover up what they might not like from him but also cried like many times that I got fed up with that. I was thinking that; come on, you know nothing bout my guy, mom, I know everything about him. Luckily I had my auntie in my back; she was sure that I couldn't be that wrong in choosing a guy. And don't make me look like a total parent's disappointment; I did try to tell him that we were in need to do something to make him look good in my parents' eyes and get approval. But okay maybe we didn't do enough, no matter how hard I was pushing it all up. Okay but then lately my auntie came long away from being supporter to being a participant of my mom's say-no-to-that-of-my-relationship party. Odd, they were welcoming towards guys, you know. But I still didn't care, and I just walked away with him.
Theeeen, troubles came, from the simplest one till the harsh ones, had it all. And it was like, maintaining our relationship was the least thing to do. But we went on anyway. Until at a time, we broke up. But then, we
were back together again. And then...
We broke up again, and he kindly said to me what was behind these all. Won't tell you what had happened, won't tell you who, won't tell you what bad things we actually had done behind each other's back. Just
telling you that, it was bad. Way bad. And your mom, surprisingly, was right.
Terribly right.
Now I'm having a little bit traumatic syndrome, of not listening to my parents. They really do know better.
So I talked to my mom, and we laughed. It was like all those tears I spent arguing with her (for something I can say, a waste), all those depression I thought she burdened me with, all the yells and every bad time I'd gone through with my mom my grandma and my auntie was gone in an instant.
All gone, after looking at her beautiful face, smiling to me, talking about guys so peacefully, something I never did for months. And there she said;
'tapi kalo yang sekarang, mama seneng,'
and we laughed again :))

About this blog

Why'd you name this blog "Lucky Monster" with the tagline of "Too Lucky too Monsterous"?
Because I know that I'm not an angelic person that plays it kind and good with others. I'd call me a devil but I still have a heart. A monster is sometimes evil but it still has a heart. Well all the while, monster is cute! And why lucky, because I'm simply always lucky. Maybe not in daily little events but I know that most of my success came of my luck (lol) so basically a lucky monster symbolizes me.

Why do you use English (mostly)?
I never wanna show off my English (beside it's silly, my English is also not that good you know). I just enjoy writing in English, firstly because I dream of having a foreign reader and secondly because you know I don't go for English course classes anymore but I kinda feel the urgency of pertaining my English so I try to use blogging as a learning media (than just having it as a place to blabber senseless, you know).

Why don't you put your playlist on the right column of your blog? (lol)
Okay simply because I find it VERY easy to be bored with specific songs I listen to most of the time and I quickly change my favorite songs. I'm also lazy just to direct to the layout setup so yeah I'd rather put it on posts fields :D

Not really. But I kinda feel that maybe, by adoring both of these writers, I kinda get some influence of their writing style: Diana Rikasari and Gossip Girl.

I'm somewhat idealist, very rationalist, and thoughtful. I'd call myself bold, and I like being attractive. I'm very lazy, very very lazy, and is concerned to be a more hardworking person. People see me as a too idealistic person (which they call neges in my school LOL) but I've got no probs with that. The fact I sometimes hate is that, I read minds, and I'm probably always right about that. It's just that I can't read what the teacher's having in mind when they're throwing me questions. Oh by the way, I'm not studious.

No, not yet. But I think I know where I'd land when I grow up :)

Oh yes it's very depressing when you think you can't get over someone because you're not gonna get over him. But when you think you can (or don't think about that at all), you easily get it done in a blink of an eye. I was very in love back then when I broke up (for the first time with that guy).

I'm constantly in an effort to improve myself :)

Alwia Qarisa, a freshman in my school. We're in a confusing circumstance and I don't care what she thinks of me I'd always have her as an own sister however I treat her and she treats me. Lucky now she looks happy that she's got back her someone-to-hold-on-to :)
What is it with you and your ex(s)?
Let's say it's never easy for me to deal with my ex(s). I officially have three of them, the first would have been my current crush if he weren't in a distant country of Denmark, studying his majors out. And I'm not into him. The second would have been the best I've ever had if only I still have some crumbs of feelings towards him, but life ain't never that easy. You get something while you want other thing. The third would be very complicated and I am tired of complications so it's kinda easy to let go of each other. And I was probably a bit unconditioned to an over-me ex but you know that's what's right and what should happen :p

Being in the highest charge of the nation from year 1999 to 2001, he actually had settled several major accomplishment for this country such as raising the IDR (Indonesian Rupiah) currency rate to the point of approximately IDR 3000 per US$ 1 (corrections are highly welcome and appreciated). His Coalition Cabinet was even the first healthily composized cabinet after the presidency of Soeharto which is fair for most of the political parties as it has a balance amount of various members of parties in his cabinet.He was determined to resign from his presidency after all the mischief happened along his period of charge. From the controversial establishment of commercial relation with Israel (while the majority of Indonesians were supporting Palestine), his rough relationship with TNI (Indonesian national army), his scandalous troubles connected to BULOG (State Logisctics Agency), his unexpected decision about letting the Morning Star Flag put up under Indonesian flag, until the continuous protests against his decisions, subjecting to massal disbelief motions, he had gone through it all, and all are causing his resignation. But not being a president does not mean stopping the efforts to contribute to the bureaucracy even though this brilliant brained man was not allowed to go for the next president election due to several physical disabilities diganosed by the republic doctor team. Gus Dur passed away on December 30, 2009 at approximately 6.45 WIB (GMT +7) of complications between kidney disorder (he also did a dialysis), diabetes and heart disease. He will be buried today December 31th in Jombang, beside his grand father. Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. Rest in peace, may Allah forgive all your worldly mistakes and grant you a place in His heaven, amin.

I'm making a new year resolution for the first time ever! :D Not only resolution list, I'm also into making a 2010 wishlist. This new year does seem to be a jolly year :)

2010 resolution.
1. Enroll to Faculty of Medical Studies of Airlangga University (FK Unair) or Jember University (FK Unej) or Bandung Institute of Technology's School of Business and Management (SBM ITB).
2. Be an obedient prayer and an ultimate believer in Islam. And be of course a better lover of Allah.
3. Finish school succesfully (this one only counts on final exam and university entry test marks, I know I've been a horrible student after all this time).
4. Start debating again at college.
5. Go on a private vacation by myself, to somewhere remote and exotic, and get a perfectly rejuvenating solitude, preferably in one of the virgin beaches in Indonesia.
6. Spend most of time alone, outside parents' supervisory, maybe I'd like to move out and live alone, by this I don't mean to get away from my parents (hell no) but I just wanna try that; it sounds fascinating.
7. Travel somewhere abroad! No need to be USA, just anywhere outside Indonesia (I can never bear to drool hearing Tom's stories about his going abroad, geez)
8. Get a new boyfriend who's better than anyone before :p
9. Start setting up an own business. Or at least planning to build a new business or ask dad if he needs some hands in his company *wink*.
10. Be a completely better student (as I am going to be a freshman in a university), better daughter to my parents, sister to my brothers, and leader to myself, and the rest of the world.

I can't get the fact that at the high time for me to leave, I can't. I guess I love you that much, Lucky. And I guess you've figured it out that you might not be all I want, but you sure are part of all that I want, the big one.

By the way, it's only a day away to Rendezvous *ecstatic* and I can't wait dealing with both tickets and money, also the visitors and the fame. I know how weird it sounds when I'm telling you 'I can't wait to work', not 'I can't wait to party out, bla, bla...'. It's just, the thing is, okay, I'm not in my best condition. And that succeeded in evoking cancellation towards my plan to visit GramEx today. Folks are not letting me, sigh. I hate today you know, I was supposed to meet him but instead of meeting, we fought. That got me into an uneasy circumstance with my auntie (okay, I know you don't get it, I'm just not in the mood to explain anything). That was like, dropping my mood off from the altitude of 8000 ft upon the atmosphere.

But anyway, I gotta get through it. Altogether, or all alone.

By the way I watched Avatar yesterday.

And thank God it wasn't disappointing. It's quite good instead. By good I don't mean it's some kind of Academy-Award-nominee-to-be but it's enjoyable. You know what (I guess that would have been the first thing you'd hear when asking about Avatar) the graphic is awesome. I love the description of this Na'vi clan whatsoever. And the only thing I love more is of course, Pandora itself.

Well there are some plot holes I pointed out along the story. First was how Trudy didn't get any penalty whatsoever from betraying her troops in the time of hometree ambush, later on (what I don't get), how could she get a full authority towards the prisoners? Second one was like a big, big hole in the main plot of the film. Wasn't the primary point of whole rambles of attacking the Na'vi(s) to obtain the gem Unobtainium which were spread around hometree? Then why did the troops decide to do another ambush to take down the reminiscent of the tribe instead of doing anything to the hometree after they got rid of the Na'vi's there to gain Unobtainium?

Would James Cameron, please, enlighten me?

So I got this sickening visual art task to design a house and I was confused on what house I should draw. Lemme think again, if I have to draw any house, it would be my dream house. So I googled some house designs and I browse and even build a new house on the sims 3. The first house I adored was, The Lone Manor, the house of Wolff household on the sims 3.

And these houses, lefevre and whale beach house I found on google.

Competitions and challenges are my aspiration. Sadly, I don't have as many chances to go for any competitions this year since I've got to put more effort on curricular studies in this senior years. And anyway seems like it's been my time to retire! But I love winning and victories. I know, who doesn't? But perhaps, I love it more than most people :p

On Dec 5th and 6th in a row, 2 competitions were held and I was all up for both.

Dec 5th
MEFF, an English competition (which is my likely thing to do) and it was held by Management faculty of one of my state's university (and also one of the top uni in Indonesia, where I'm heading to one of its faculty, the medical studies) University of Airlangga. It actually had, you know, unique concept, since every year it has different dresscode (last year was some jungle thingy, and now fairy tale kingdom thingy, even though I never tried to dress properly) and the competition is wrapped cutely in different games each round. Most people will find it fun and interesting, even though the truth is, I only enjoy the final round which is the debate round (again, my kinda thing to do) :p. Last year, my team had the honor to be given the title of the ruler of the jungle by Tarzan himself (LMAO) which means a victory! Afina's team, did succeed in achieving the 2nd place too. A total victory for SMAN 5 Surabaya! The 3rd place went for SMAN 2 Surabaya, our neighboring school *WINK*. This year with the same member of the group, Zafira, Firas, and me, and also Afina's team, with Ervandy and Adel, of course had the will to pertain the title, as well as other teams from our school. The first round required us to arrange as many words as possible from jumbled alphabets. Grossed were us that the committee did not tell that wrong words scored minus. So there were like only 2 teams from my school that managed to move on to the next round, including my team. Shortly, we moved on to the 3rd round and on to the 4th round. And when the committee announced the finalist, there was only A TEAM! A team from SMALA that moved on to the final round. It was my team and we were determined to win. After a harsh debate session with failure system of the debate itself (we, a team, were plotted to battle against other 4 finalists, with only 5 minutes of three people to talk, and with the POI time of only 3 minutes, this debate system was a great failure that most of the teams failed to state their arguments with sufficient proofs and that we did not have much time to throw POIs or even to answer POIs), the committee announced the winner shortly after. And A HUGE APOLOGY for SMAN 5 Surabaya, we did not succeed in sustaining our title. The 1st place went for Petra 1 HS as my prediction (congrats!) and we only got the 2nd place. But anyway that was quite a closing show of my English competition records, goodbye MEFF and the rest of the English competitions I used to be soooo enthusiastic to go for!

Dec 6th
MEDSPIN, a medical science competition (which is not the likely thing to do for me) held by the Medical Studies Faculty, University of Airlangga. And as usual, the problems were effingly hard. My team was ranked 24th out of 378 competitors from Surabaya. And WHOA there are quite a number of SMALA's team that got into the next round! Quite an achievement! Sadly it means that we don't succeed to move on to the next round, but that's not a big deal since we were not determined to win nor even to move on to the next round LOL :p So this MEDSPIN finally closed my high school competition records, very nicely :)

Good bye competitions! Good bye 3-years-long rivalry *WINK*! I sure will mis that atmosphere, but do wait for my return, as a college student of course when you see me on my next battlefield :)

2009 break up

Hey people. Remember that I once fell in love with a guy on April 20th and started dating with him on April 30th? And remember how crazy in love we were? Well, we broke up on Sept 2nd, 6 days before my birthday, and we had some kind of hook up relationship until September ends.

Anybody knows how I feel?

Devastatingly broken hearted, of course.

But broken hearts are normal, aren't they? And anyway we think that that would be the best. But the real reason is what I can't say cause I'm not sure anymore actually... But to tell you what, I was terribly jealous. Well maybe he's kinda sick of me or bored, I don't know. About moving on... I can't tell either. I might move on, well. I might not either.

But the best thing is, I decided to focus on my studies :)

Even though everytime I recall about him and how we used to be and how he is now, I was truly hurt, and it somehow gets me kinda stressed (this is truly overrating), but Imma be alright :)

And I also remember Ste's advice (I learned this today) that, he's just probably not worth it yet, not now :)

And guess what, I might be just over confidence or so, but now more boys are after me :p

P.s.: I don't go facebook-ing anymore, enjoying twitter instead (even though he and probably his current crush is destroying my mood everytime I get into twitter now)

heeeey people! Missing my presence? Sure you don't :p I know I know. Where have I been? Definitely not the afterlife *thank Allah*. I've been quite taken up dealing with lots of things. School, which sorry to say, displease me did the report card. Student exchange, where I get to learn dance! And surprisingly, I enjoyed it a LOT. I've got new friends, they're my exchange partners. I feel good talking with them hehe. Bida and Risky are the ones I'm mostly close with. The others? They rock :)
My love life? Surprisingly constantly developing :) I didn't know that I could be in love for this long ;") hehehe. Love ya :)
I already set my goal: the medical studies faculty at Airlangga university Surabaya. Am I that keen on it? No. Who else but my mom made me hehehe. Though I'd still be glad to go for UI's International relation or law studies :)
Oh by the way the holiday's just over. How did I spend it? By practicing dance of course. But hey, I kinda like it :). Also, the prom night's over too. I did try look good, but it wasn't my best. Save it for next year! Hehehe :p anyway, despising that a lot of people said it was dull, I enjoyed it. Maybe it's just because... hehehe, thanks :)

I did feel messed up last night. My lungs feel like shrinking and my throat feels like hell. And I didn't get to see good movies on TV. And I didn't get to talk neither with my friends, boy, nor enemies (what?). The morning's kinda better. But still not good.

Wow! Amazing. I'm feeling pretty empty. I don't know why how I just feel something's missing, or is it just me missing something? Or someone? Pokoknya kinda that lah hahaha.

By the way, I was just skipping SSC (don't know what is it? Mainly, course. Personally, jail) and went movie buffing (lol) with my big bro. We watched Fast and Furious 4. Well, not bad. But not really that unforgettable, sorry to say.

Talking about movies, I watched 5 movies this month (not a deal? for you. For me? A good deal!). I watched Dragonball Evolution or something with my pals, Edwin, Viga, Teta, Karine, and Uzi. Then Monsters vs Aliens with my mom dad lil and big bro. Then off to watching Race to the Witch Mountain, intendedly, with my pals: Edwin, Ste, Eno, Fio, and Dijan. But I happened to watch (watch? No. Make a lot of noises awhile, yes) with someone else, haha. My pals were on a row behind us. Next, Push, with Edwin, Karine, Fio, and Dijan. And today, Fast and Furious 4 with my big bro. Which is the best film? Not sure. Probably, monster vs aliens, lol. No let me think again. Which one I enjoyed the most? Race to Witch Mountain :)

Remember the student exchange stuff? Well the announcement's published. Yesterday I was (as learned from urbandictionary stuff) having 'lunchbox' with my brothers, and suddenly Zafira called me, told me to check it out. So I went upstairs and checked it. Here's what I've got:

See number 8? Yeah right. Alhamdulillah Someone gives me a chance to at least do something for my country (boo mushy! I know). My family, they all support me :D I don't really think about telling that to my friends (yeah, I'm telling the world by writing on this blog, but I mean, I treat blog as a diary stuff and you know, I mean, verbally), I don't wanna show off, or something like that. But I've, myself; not counting my mom and my grandma whatsoever, told two of my most, err, I don't know. I told Ghiffy yesterday and got that chance to tell Sarah this morning :) I know they'd understand hehe. For the rest of you guys, you Zafira, you Kate, Dena, all of you, I'm proud of you guys. You've done the best honey. Especially for Zafira. I'm sorry. You're the, what, I don' know, but, this effing single thing does not deserve any milliliter of your tears nor any grief, we've gone through things together. Sometimes life might seem so down, deep down. But it can only make you stronger. Zaf, I love ya :)

Some people, I know, wouldn't be as supporting. But that does not really matter anymore: I've got those I love the most backing me up, and that's quite enough :). Now I'm rumbling around learning Hangeul and obsessed to be able to do a traditional Indonesia dance. Just, wish me luck. And huge thanks for every support :)

I was curios about Vasillisa, the name Stefanie claims as her alter ego (as if the Sasha Fierce of Beyonce). I googled it and found about several sites mentioning Vasillisa (vee-aye-ass-eye-double elle-eye-ass-aye), checked them, and concluded nothing from them. But I also did find an article about Vasilissa hosted by wikipedia. So Vasilissa is a Russian fairy tale role. Here's the story:

A merchant had, by his first wife, a single daughter, who was known as Vasilissa ("Βασίλισσα" Queen in Greek) the Beautiful. When she was eight years old, her mother died. On her deathbed, she gave Vasilissa a tiny wooden doll with instructions to give it a little to eat and a little to drink if she were in need, and then it would help her. As soon as her mother died, Vasilissa gave it a little to drink and a little to eat, and it comforted her.

After a time, her father remarried, to a woman with two daughters. Her stepmother was very cruel to her, but with the help of the doll, Vasilissa was able to perform all the tasks imposed on her. When young men came wooing, the stepmother rejected them all because it was not proper for the younger to marry before the older, and none of suitors wished to marry Vasilissa's stepsisters.

One day the merchant had to embark on a journey. His wife sold the house and moved them all to a gloomy hut by the forest. One day she gave each of the girls a task and put out all the fires except a single candle. Her older daughter then put out the candle, whereupon they sent Vasilissa to fetch light from Baba Yaga's hut. The doll advised her to go, and she went. While she was walking, a mysterious man rode by her in the hours before dawn, dressed in white, riding a white horse whose equipment was all white; then a similar rider in red. She came to a house that stood on chicken legs and was walled by a fence made of human bones. A black rider, like the white and red riders, rode past her, and night fell, whereupon the eye sockets of the skulls became luminous. Vasilissa was too frightened to run away, and so Baba Yaga found her when she arrived in her mortar.

Baba Yaga said that she must perform tasks to earn the fire, or be killed. For the first task, Vasilissa was to clean the house and yard, cook supper, and pick out black grains and wild peas from a quarter measure of wheat. Baba Yaga left, and Vasilissa cooked, while the doll did everything else. At dawn, the white rider passed; at or before noon, the red. As the black rider rode past, Baba Yaga returned and could complain of nothing. She bade three pairs of disembodied hands seize the grain to grind it, and set Vasilissa the same tasks for the next day, with the addition of cleaning poppy seeds that had been mixed with dirt. Again, the doll did all except cooking the meal. Baba Yaga set the three pairs of hands to press the oil from the poppy seeds.

Vasilissa asked about the riders' identities and was told that the white one was Day, the red one the Sun, and the black one Night. Other details are not explained, on the grounds that Baba Yaga preferred to keep them secret. In return, Baba Yaga inquired into the cause of Vasilissa's success. On hearing the answer "by my mother's blessing", Baba Yaga sent Vasilissa home. With her was sent a luminously-eyed skull, to provide light for her in-laws. The light burned the in-laws to ashes.

Later, Vasilissa became assistant to a maker of cloth in Russia's capital city, where she became so skilled at her work that the czar himself noticed her skill. He later married Vasilissa.

Does Ste take it from that story? Hmm. Not yet any confirmation is there given.

I'm sitting in front of my laptop as usual. Grossed with the thing I told you above. My boy just called me, and I'm thinking about waiting for some more calls :p hehe. It's facebook tabs in the left of this tab and the error site mentioned above. Gross gross! I just ate two pcs of A&W chicken by the way, hehe. Not currently listening to any songs.

I love holidays. Who doesn't? But this holiday, ugh. My boy's outta town and I have no credits to call him nor text him. Well he called me, thank God. And he promised to call me again tomorrow. I'll take your words for that :p
My besties and I are gonna hang out tomorrow. I don't know where. But it sounds good. I kinda enjoy most of my time with them. We're all like, nuts, hehe :D and I love that.
This makes me soooo impatient for tomorrow. Including to know the result of the student exchange stuff. I can't open the website, hey!

I am pathetically waiting for the student exchange selection announcement. They're gonna send someone to either China, North Korea, or Australia. Well I'm bidding for the last country mentioned. Bidding? No. Begging. Yes. Begging. My mom's really wishing it badly. The first session I ruined with not bringing necessary documents, but I passed. Second session, well, not bad. But thus my school mate, my golden partner, my gooooood friend, the 1st speaker of my debate team, Zafira, got the first rank, while I got the sixth, and they're just gonna send one per one school. Perfect. The third and last session is the only session I can hope to pass Zafira. It's the talent and personality session. I presented my acting, well, not that good. And I did make through the personality test, well, I guess. Now, let's just see. Are they gonna send me? Ugh. God. Please.

She's brilliant, cute, talented, and so kind. I got to know her when I entered high school, when at first times she was my desk mate. She is my best friend, at least, she was.

Before all the rough things happened. Before she became drawn into an exact single thing, say, love. A demanding one. Before all the troubles I've caused with the one on top of her social list, the one she loves the most.

I could think of a better idea, I just did the worse ones. I guess I was wrong for messing several people and troubled her into confusion. I guess I was wrong for telling her not to go down with love. I guess I was wrong to finally happen to lose her.

But I'd still love her, the way I used to love her, and always.

What you can lose, can you get again. Well, I wish so. Only the bests for her, and the rest of the people I love, out there.
